John Booth: "While visiting my family after Christmas of 2006 my wife and I had been telling my brother about how much weight we had slowly but surely managed to put on since we turned 50. He mentioned he was having trouble staying below 200 lbs. My family is not large in stature. In fact, the men are a bit below average in the 5' 8" to 5' 10'' range so our ideal weight as a young adult should be between 140 and 150 lbs. I am now 56 and most health sites show my ideal weight at my age to be 161 lbs (weight/height/age example website). When I was in my twenties I weighed between 141 and 145 lbs so I think 161lbs is realistic. My wife is only an inch shorter at 5'7" and the same site shows her ideal weight to be 136 lbs. At the time we started our research to plan our diet I weighed 187 lbs and my wife weighed 150 lbs. I need to lose 25 lbs and she needed to lose 14 lbs to reach our ideal weight.

Living on the Gulf Coast gave us a low cal resource in seafood, but we both love to eat and try out new recipes! We were shooting for a balanced diet concentrating on portion control. Reducing portions seemed the simplest way to reduce weight. The same weight and health sites showed if I kept my calorie count under 1552 calories a day and my wife kept hers under 1275 calories a day we would steadily lose weight. We also became religious in reading calories/serving on everything before purchasing or eating it. We chose fruit to supplement between meals and for breakfast, and low cal snack foods like rice cakes and pork chicharrones after work, but before dinner. We knew we were not going to see results quickly but steadily. This was, in fact, the case. After a month on our portion control diets I had lost 10 lbs, and my wife had lost 5 lbs with slight variation day to day depending on our meal plan which was to be expected. We had figured from the start that it would take us about three months to reach our goal of ideal body weight.

The biggest problem we had during the first month was feeling really hungry prior to mealtime. Researching the web I ran across a site that talked about bee pollen as a whole food source so we tried it and found it seemed to help a bit with feeling so hungry before meals. It was during this research on bee pollen that I ran across Shirley's Wellness Cafe site, and watched a video on a new whole food product called Frequensea. The product contained phytoplankton which contains all the nutrients required ( the list is huge) to sustain a healthy body. We had been going to our local health food store for many years purchasing organically plant derived liquid minerals and vitamins to supplement our diet. We rarely catch the colds or flu's that come around every year. However, we were so intrigued by the video, we decided to try the product since we figured if it contained all these nutrients we could just take it daily instead. We would try it for a month and see what happened.

We received our Marine Phytoplankton (Frequensea) order which instructed that you should take between 1/2 - 1 ounce daily. We decided to go for the lower dosage of 1/2 ounce daily. The next day I heard my wife say from the bathroom in a very excited voice that she lost 5 lbs. Shocked and skeptical I told her she had to be wrong! I checked the scales which also measure body fat and water to ensure she was not mistaken and got her to step on the scales again. Well, there it was! She had dropped from 145 lbs to 140 lbs in one day! I congratulated her and didn't really think about it again until I stepped on the scale later on that morning. I had lost 6.5 lbs dropping from 177 lbs to 171.5 lbs! I was so excited I called her at work to tell her! I had her check her weight on the scales in the nurse's office at the school in which she is the Media Specialist, and it was the same. Hallelujah!

Prior to taking the marine phytoplankton, we had seemed to hit a period where we were not making as much progress, but we felt that was to be expected. The variance was always a pound to a pound and a half for me and one to two pounds for my wife. I think this is normal as women have more water weight issues than men do. The real test was the next few days to see if the weight remained steady. Over the next few days our weight varied only slightly depending on what we ate such as seafood vs beef. As far as the rather dramatic weight loss after the first dose the only thing we can figure is that something in the Frequensea helped our bodies reach a state of metabolism we had never reached before.

In addition, we discovered over the next few days that we weren't nearly as hungry between meals. We could go much longer and not even think about food. By the time we felt hungry it was already noon! Not only did we get this added benefit, but we felt better overall, and our energy level increased significantly. As of February 15th I had lost 17 lbs at 169.5 lbs. I can't imagine not taking Marine Phytoplankton as a whole food supplement to ensure good health as my mind is sharper and I feel energized. It is the first thing I think about each morning. I don't know if it will help everyone lose some extra unwanted weight, but I know it has helped us achieve a sense of completeness and well being that we have never experienced before."
